those who did not learn 听写 and have already taken it, you all can start doing corrections if you know that you are going to fail. Cause if you have failed before, you will know that corrections are time consuming and they make your hand ache. If it happens that on that day that you're supposed to do corrections and you have a lot of homework as well, you can forget about sleeping, so please, if you have spare time, do some corrections first. This is to prevent yourself from dying from exhaustion. But don't just do for the sake of doing k? Concentrate while doing, it helps to get it stuck in your head.

Hello everyone,

For those who are interested in doing revision for their upcoming Mathematics Test on Wednesday, there has been a worksheet uploaded by Ms Zeng into the "Year 2 Mathematics 2009" workbin on IVLE. The worksheet is in the folder "Additional Revision Materials" and is entitled "Y2 Term 3 Revision". Personally, I think some of the questions there are not bad and I think the test should be somewhere around that standard.

On today Mdm Ong told us that we will be having the chemistry test most probally on Wednesday (29th July). The topics that will be tested include

1. Atomic Structure
2. Chemical Compounds
3. Balancing Equations
4. Acids

Please take note that initially, acids were not tested but now it id decided that is will be tested. According to Mdm Ong, what you need to know for acids and bases include the reactions of acids and what are acids. But there may be more. For those that are unable to make it on that day, there will be a make up test.

I think that ting xie is on tomorrow or friday i for got which one. But i think it's tomorrow. So if you're coming back to school this week, it's best to start learning ting xie. (Unless you want to copy until your hand breaks or your pen runs out of ink)
Oh yes, there is a math test coming soon though i forgot which date again><. It's testing on direct, inverse proportion, maps and scales and statistics (no pythagoreas theorem!!!)

eng: reader's response(not totally sure whether nid to do, but i tink nid),draft for the short story
maths: go to ace-learning,under 'calendar', ms zeng has assigned us things to do.
chi: take part in the forum that mr yeo has put up. the reading materials are in the workbin
sci: take these few free days to study for sci test and memorise all the ions and stuff(not sure when the science test is)
geog: the slides for this week's geog lesson are up on IVLE, workbin.
history: refer to your sourcebook pgs 74 and 75 and complete exercise 5. mr chia will go through the answers when you return from LOA. Should you have left your coursebook in school. Please refer to the workbin in the generic 2009 Home Based Learning module and complete the different task in the documents stored there.

The symptoms of novel H1N1 flu virus in people are similar to the symptoms of seasonal flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Today is a eventful day for our class,

symptoms of H1N1:
The symptoms of novel H1N1 flu virus in people are similar to the symptoms of seasonal flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. A significant number of people who have been infected with novel H1N1 flu virus also have reported diarrhea and vomiting. The high risk groups for novel H1N1 flu are not known at this time, but it’s possible that they may be the same as for seasonal influenza. People at higher risk of serious complications from seasonal flu include people age 65 years and older, children younger than 5 years old, pregnant women, people of any age with chronic medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), and people who are immunosuppressed (e.g., taking immunosuppressive medications, infected with HIV).

some other advice:
If you are sick, you may be ill for a week or longer. Unless necessary for medical care, you should stay home and minimize contact with others, including avoiding travel and not going to work or school, for 7 days after your symptoms begin or until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer. If you leave the house to seek medical care, wear a facemask, if available and tolerable, and cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue. In general, you should avoid contact with other people as much as possible to keep from spreading your illness, especially people at increased risk of severe illness from influenza. With seasonal flu, people may be contagious from one day before they develop symptoms to up to 7 days after they get sick. Today is a eventful day for our class,

1. 10 people were absent
2. 2 people left halfway during Science lesson
3. About 11 people were quarantined
4. About 12 people left in the class

Let us hope and pray that everyone would be back soon in one piece, and our class is back together again safe and sound.
It is a good experience for us and from this day, we can learn the importance of our own health.
